Had a little bit of a thought that has been taking shape the last few days… mostly be asking the question, what motivates me? or what motivates you?
I suppose there is a giant amount of information on this topic, I could totally go to boarders and get a entire shelf of books on how this stuff happens. But seriously, everything aside
What motivates you?
Saturday night I went to a concert. Melody and rhythm and the goodness they entail were in bounty. Music did what it ought to do that night and got my mind working. Thinking and progressing thoughts in and out of connections between memories and trails of things I’ve learned through 21 years of mistake making.
At one point in the concert I was the most struck with a interesting thought.
The pianist was evoking some thoughts about balance that were trailing my thoughts into symmetry. I was running through images of the most symmetrical things I have ever seen. Then the vocalist sang the word defiance and this picture got stuck in my head that created this phrase “the symmetry of defiance and compliance”
I had a few more thoughts today and we should call them, thinking vs doing part two.
I am pretty sure that my favorite part about having a website is being able to constantly create different ways of wording things and hooking things together. If I am never able to become a racing yachtsman when I grow up I definitely want to be a wordsmith.
I wrote a post a few days ago while I was thinking about the problems arising from an unbalanced flow of thinking and doing in a persons life. The person who thinks their way in and out of loops and becomes paralyzed at the thought of doing. Or the person who does things without accounting for the winds direction, the repercussions or the power lines beneath the soil.
But there was something I did not regard in the last post that plays an ever increasing role in the decision making process, especially in the life of the saint.
Today was a super normal day.
Ate some sand mixed with salt water, spent money on food, shared knowledge of algebra 2, had a headache.
But about 4 minutes ago something good happened.
I saw this video.
