A Surplus of Enigmatic Relaxation

Posted on 12 June, 2010 at 1:21am with no comments

Sometimes, it’s just that time. Usually early June, when global events are happening and people and place become tired of usuality. It probably has something to do with all those years of having nothing to do all summer but build forts, ride bicycles and get into trouble on a hourly basis. You feel it, I feel it, every early June the season is simply beckoning for a retreat.

It’s the vacation. It’s the Summer. It’s the best.

What(a.)Is Going On? (a.in the world)

Posted on 27 May, 2010 at 8:56am with 2 comments

You have probably, most definitely, been asking yourself some tough and interesting questions over the last few months, possibly the greater part of the last year that make your scratch your head in terms of collective global government and our world financial situation. I do not consider myself to be a political guru of any means and want to steer clear of hair-raising conversations. But intentionally I just want to share some thoughts and ask a few questions about the fascinatingly interesting financial mess we seem to have found ourselves in.

Shall we?

The !deation Conference

Posted on 9 April, 2010 at 11:45am with no comments

Last summer I had the incredible opportunity to gather with some incredible individuals in Washington D.C. for an Unconference around the issue of Social Justice called Idea Camp. I was able to meet people working in the field and harness momentum for an idea that became Being Human Project. Then, sometime mid February I found out about Idea Camp on steroids or what was being called !deation Conference.

Can Enough Be Done In Haiti?

Posted on 21 January, 2010 at 10:24am with no comments

Been trying to gather my thoughts about the earthquake in Haiti over the past week. It seems very well like one of those defining moments in history when things that never before happened take shape and place. It also took a spot close to home because it is just quite simply so close. And friends were there.

When the Tsunami’s hit the micro/mela/polynesia area it felt so distant. Even though I remember telling myself about how big of a deal this was, that they’re real people… It still felt distant.

Haiti is pretty much the total opposite.

The logical quandary of travel and adventure

Posted on 11 January, 2010 at 3:04pm with no comments

If a standby flight across the country, ocean, mountain and piles of aging cheddar were the ingredients for one incredible time out of Orlando for the holidays… That’s what I was just served. Not a mountain-full, or an ocean-full, but a life-time supply of incredible memories and unforgettably cheese filled moments. Which is where the whole quandary comes in… throughout the trip a logical deduction of time and reason was created for every life moments relation to a cheese dish. It took some serious time.

Which is why I have not written in almost a month.

A Take Away Show

Posted on 3 December, 2009 at 1:16pm with 3 comments

Its awesome when different conversations merge.

My sister was in town this last week for the Holiday celebrating the giving of thanks.  Among all the wonderful things she did while she was in town, which include, but are not limited too; over-abundance of coffee, deliver of birthday present (magic mouse), freak bombs, inspirational conversation, bountiful smiles, She introduced me too an incredible band, Phoenix.  Whose song 1901 stuck a memory in my brian because it was on a video I watched a few days earlier… All too say I couldn’t stop dancing to this music.

Then the unexplainable happened.

a sea of tea — conclusionally

Posted on 26 September, 2009 at 10:57am with 7 comments

The funny thing about trips or journeys or voyages or even sea’s of tea(chronicles of transcontinentalism) is that they always have an end.
