An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

It’s not any big news that tomorrow afternoon there is a highly anticipated event. An event people have been talking about for the last few weeks and have a lot of pre-suppositions about what will be said and its effects on all sectors of life. I mean, this event will sway market indices and change the American, the world’s, outlook on the rest of 2010.
So, what’s the event? or what are the events? I am sure you have an idea and will be hearing all about both of these speeches for the many months to come.
Steve Jobs on the Tablet, Barack Obama on the State of the Union.
It is not too often that an Apple event, riddled with mystery and incredible marketing strategy falls on the same day of a state of the union address.
An article on each event.

A friend tweeted a question that sent my head thinking about this interesting meet-up/mash-up of political/capitalist eventing. And possibly how deep the irony really can go. The CEO of one of the worlds largest and fastest growing companies releasing new product in a market shaping manner. The president of the U.S. giving a speech on the dilemma of the economy.
This morning, while talking about these events, a friend, Croy, made possibly the best hypothesis heard yet. Steve Jobs will be announcing Apple’s new healthcare system, overhauling the entire process the government has begun and redefining the industry. Marketing phrase “An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away.”
I do have to say I am more excited about the impact of what Apple will be announcing, but am definitely more interested in the long-term effects of the message the president conveys.
So, Which one will you watch?
