Yep, That Sounds Real Good

Posted on 9 May, 2010 at 5:36pm

It’s always super nice when quality music pops up in the day-to-day of life. Especially music that treats your ears in a way vanilla ice cream with fresh, just washed, raspberries crushed in and throughout do with their natural inclination. So, indeed I encourage you to take full form of your musical disposition with the contents of this post’s glorious innards.

Writing is a lot of fun.

First, is a duo sure to treat your lemonade this summer at your favorite soiree.

Hailing from the depths of the musical block in New York City, Tanlines is sure to tickle that spot of your inner ear that triggers the jiggles and dancies. I dare you to keep still listening to this puppy.

Hats off to the man himself Danny Jones for the tip on this one. You will be inspired  — YASLY

Secondly, another duo who have been blowing minds and ripping up the college station music charts for the last few weeks is a soulful collaboration between The Shins front man, James Mercer and Gnarles Barkley’s beat mastering hiptastic producer Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) called Broken Bells.

Listening to this song will make you want to make a music video. A music video about a man who throughout his whole life battled the destruction caused by growing up fatherless and just after a horrible decision realizes he was swimming uphill althroughout life and gets bitter against his perceived destiny.

Thanks to WPRK for this one.

Thirdly, if your truly ready for something special. If you appreciate the taste of creation and sound you need to continue on. This morning a thought slid into my head “I’d love to see Phoenix live” To follow through with this thought I looked up their website and found an incredible post on their blog. You are the mixer here friends. Enjoy.
