A lit­tle over 3 weeks ago the Des­tiny Foun­da­tion of Cen­tral Florida announced it would be clos­ing its doors because of a lack of fund­ing.  Super thank­fully Dis­cov­ery stayed very involved and has been tak­ing part in help­ing ban­dage wounds and fix leaks.

This wednes­day I received an email that the food bank would be re-opening under a dif­fer­ent name, Com­mu­nity Food and Out­reach Center.  And in just about 3 weeks an Orga­ni­za­tion from St. Lucie has come in will­ing to help restore and take over the min­istry gap left by these closed doors.  Har­vest Food and Out­reach Cen­ter re-opened the doors to the gro­cery cen­ter yes­ter­day morning.

I was able to help stock shelves with some friends for a few hours on Wednes­day after­noon as they are in need of TONS! of help.  If you want to come out this Sat­ur­day let me know, we will be going back in the morn­ing prob­a­bly 10-1ish.
