Saw a super interesting blog post a few days ago from the marketing master giant Seth Godin. I don’t fully agree with all of it but the idea and concept I think is very true. Why do people have such a hard time with a BIG problem? I think this is also very clear and evident in church practices… but thats a conversation for another time.
What I found so cool was not this post, but another post even more awesomely interesting, written in response to Godins, by Scott Harrison the founder of Charity: Water. Scott connects the feelings of enormity to scripture and specifically a verse in proverbs that says “without vision, the people parish”
Another factor that plays into this whole deal as christians, we are not trying to surmount insurmountable odds on our own. How beautiful is the fact the Disciples did something that has never been done again in the history of the World. And yet even more beautiful is they understood they were not doing it on their own.
How beautiful would the church function in bringing relief to the poor, justice to the oppressed and love to the unloved if they knew who they were married too.
A lot of the things feelings around this really fuel passion for something really huge I believe God has up his sleeve.
You.
